Maia, a firbolg cloaked in mystery, emerges from a hidden forest. Her people, masters of illusion, have lived in seclusion for centuries. Now, their world is threatened, forcing Maia into the open. A pacifist at heart, she wields her magic to protect, not to harm. As she navigates a world hungry for power and secrets, her true nature remains an enigma, a whisper carried on the wind of the ancient forest.

Notes from the Author

This character is based off The Nox from Stargate SG-1, though not too the extremes of pacifism as the character in the tv show. However, choices around the character are done to emulate the abilities seen in the show.

As a pacifist, this character is built with the caveat that they will not themselves cause harm to another creature or character. That means they will not take a spell that can cause damage, or use a weapon to damage another. They will, however, use spells to bolster allies, or subdue foes.

The forest was a labyrinth of shadows and sunlight, a place where reality seemed to shift and blur at the edges of perception. You were lost, deep within its emerald embrace, the familiar trails swallowed by a thickening canopy. Desperation gnawed at your resolve as the sky began its descent into twilight.

Suddenly, a disturbance in the air caught your attention. The world seemed to ripple, as if a stone had been tossed into a still pond. And then, as abruptly as it began, the distortion ceased. “Lost, are you?” Her voice was as soft as a summer rain, carrying with it the scent of damp earth and old growth. There was no fear in her voice, only a quiet understanding. Her words were like tendrils of mist, weaving through the air with an otherworldly grace.
